1. No Assurance of Future Results
Past performance is not indicative of future results. No actual, paper, simulated, backtested, hypothetical, model, or illustrative result guarantees that a customer will earn a profit, avoid a loss, or achieve a similar risk or return profile. Market conditions, implementation, costs, account settings, strategy versions, and customer behavior differ.
Historical and backtested data may be provided so users can evaluate a strategy's characteristics and historical behavior. They are not forecasts of what the strategy or any individual account will earn.
2. Result Labels
When Atlas presents performance or model results, it uses the following categories:
- ACTUAL LIVE: Trades executed in an identified live account or a verified composite of live accounts, with the inclusion and calculation methodology described.
- PAPER OR SIMULATED: Transactions generated in a simulated execution environment rather than actual market execution.
- BACKTESTED OR HYPOTHETICAL: A strategy or model applied to historical or generated data, including walk-forward or out-of-sample testing unless the represented record was actually tradable by customers at the time.
- MODEL OR ILLUSTRATIVE: Projections, scenarios, estimates, probabilistic outputs, or examples that are not trading records.
The applicable label and material limitations should appear near the chart, number, testimonial, or claim. Actual and hypothetical results should not be treated as interchangeable.
3. Backtest and Hypothetical Limitations
Backtests can benefit from hindsight, strategy selection, repeated parameter testing, and assumptions that were not available in live trading. They may omit or underestimate spreads, commissions, Atlas fees, exchange and regulatory fees, slippage, liquidity, market impact, rejected or partial orders, outages, borrowing constraints and fees, margin changes, dividends, corporate actions, taxes, and the ability to withstand losses.
Backtests update periodically, including daily for supported strategies, and can change as data is corrected or methodology or strategy versions change. A later update does not establish how an earlier customer account would have performed.
4. Data and Model Biases
Historical data can contain errors and revisions. Results may be affected by survivorship, look-ahead, selection, publication, sampling, and data-snooping bias. A strategy selected after reviewing many versions or periods may fit noise. "Out-of-sample" and "walk-forward" labels do not eliminate these limitations.
5. Actual Live Performance Methodology
If Atlas publishes Actual Live performance, the accompanying methodology may address account or composite eligibility; source of truth and verification; start and end timestamps and time zone; deposits and withdrawals; realized and unrealized profit and loss; open positions; dividends and interest; broker, market-data, and Atlas fees; taxes; disconnected accounts; strategy changes; terminated accounts; error corrections; benchmark selection; and gross or net presentation.
An Atlas dashboard displaying your connected brokerage data is not necessarily a published, verified, or representative track record. Your brokerage statement remains the authoritative account record.
6. Fair Presentation
A favorable account, version, period, trade, or metric may be atypical. A single account is not necessarily representative of customers generally. Benchmarks can differ materially from a strategy in composition, risk, timing, fees, and tradability. A short period should not be annualized or extrapolated as a likely customer return without clear supporting context.
7. Metrics and Risk Controls
Win rate, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, profit factor, probability, stop-loss level, target, score, and similar measures are historical or model-dependent statistics, not promises. Definitions and calculation periods can vary. A modeled maximum loss, target return, or control threshold is not a guaranteed realized result.
8. Strategy Versions and Updates
Results can differ across strategy versions. Where a published comparison could be affected by a Material Strategy Change, Atlas will identify the relevant strategy version or period where reasonably necessary to understand the result. Acceptance of a future strategy version is governed by the Terms.
9. Reviews and Testimonials
Reviews and endorsements reflect individual experiences and are not guarantees of investment results. A review about product usability, support, transparency, setup, or features does not establish likely trading performance. If an endorsement communicates a financial result, the result can be atypical and should not be treated as what customers generally will achieve.
Atlas will disclose a material connection, such as cash compensation, discounts, free access, referral compensation, affiliate status, or an employee or owner relationship, where required. An incentive may not be conditioned on positive sentiment. Atlas does not authorize fake or materially false reviews or the improper suppression of negative reviews.
10. Affiliates, Creators, and Sales Personnel
Statements made by an affiliate, creator, salesperson, representative, or other speaker do not override Atlas's written agreements and risk disclosures. No such person is authorized to promise returns, guarantee loss protection, determine a strategy or allocation for your personal circumstances, or make an unsubstantiated claim about AI or regulatory status. Ask Atlas to confirm any material claim in writing.
11. Standard Backtest Disclosure
BACKTESTED OR HYPOTHETICAL RESULTS - NOT ACTUAL TRADING. This result applies strategy rules to historical data and may benefit from hindsight, selection, and modeling assumptions. It may not reflect actual spreads, slippage, liquidity, fees, market impact, rejected orders, outages, borrowing, taxes, or the ability to withstand losses. Actual results can differ materially. Past or hypothetical performance is not indicative of future results.
12. No Futures Performance Presentation
Atlas does not currently offer futures or other commodity-interest functionality. A securities performance disclosure should not be interpreted as a futures or commodity-interest disclosure. Atlas will not publish futures-specific performance as an available Atlas service until the underlying product and applicable legal and regulatory requirements are cleared.
